Description
Vrederus is a working sheep and cattle farm. They offer fly fishing in the dam in front of the three self catering cottages.
The cottages sleep 6 and 4 people comfortably and have everything you need. Pre-booking is essential. There's no signal in this area and it is advised to check the conditions of the mountain passes used to get to Vrederus.
Juan-Marie and Donie Naude are great hosts and there is superb fishing in rivers and dams.

Very welcoming host, Juan-Marie. They now have 3 beautiful cottages, and we could use one of them while camping. Still R120 pp. They love to have travellers or overlanders coming by. It is a Mohair sheep farm, which are around in winter, in summer they are in the mountains. Great stop before or after the Naude's Neck Pass. Many birds, you can hike around the dam and the huge farm. Highly recommended!!

They don't advertise camping but do welcome campers and overlanders. We used one of the cottage shower and toilet and also plugged into power in the cottage.The outside tap has clean water available from a nearby spring.
There's no signal but they do offer wifi
Juan-Marie and Danie Naude are great hosts and took us for sight seeing on the farm.
