Location as described -- awesome, and fairly quiet from midnight to 6 am. Noise picks up quickly in the morning. My 7'1 van touched the twiggy branches and would definitely smash some big branches, so do be careful!
Report Check-InWorked out fine - it is beautiful- does feel like this place couldn’t be legit but no one bothered me and other cars were around - some came and went but some stayed. Quiet from midnight to 6 am. I picked up some trash.
Report Check-Inbeautiful lookout spot usable for a stealth camping. Make sure to pick a spot under a tree that doesn't have to much mud, saw one car spinning for awhile.
Report Check-InPulls off with trees and river view! Can be noisy with cars passing by.
Report Check-Inwe stayed here one night in between jazz fest weekends. it's a little busy in the morning, but nobody bothered us.
Report Check-InWe stayed three nights here during Mardi Gras and had 0 problems. Beautiful spot that quiets down at night, right inside the city. Unheard of. No no parking signs that we saw. Bathroom in City Park across the street closes at sundown, so plan accordingly. People were leaving a bunch of trash when they left, please pick up your trash to keep this beautiful spot open for everyone!
Report Check-InDozens of dirt pull offs on the east side of Wisner Blvd. Some are more hidden under oaks than others. Nice views of Bayou St. John, the waterfowl, and the expansive homes on Demourelles Island. Nobody bothered us but people do run or ride their bikes along the path most of the day. Nice grass for the dogs and City Park within walking distance. Traffic dies down at night. Would camp here again.
