Something not right?

Description

Off Hwy 140 turn at the sign for Cold Springs Trailhead. Take the first right and start looking for spots. This spot we found was good for our 40’ Super C with high clearance. Further back are more spots but mostly suited for tent or van campers. Very quiet and peaceful with a view of Mt. McLoughlin. Nobody out here mid-October!

Latest Check-Ins

Good spot for a pass through night. No one is “dangerous”, but locals have trashed the place. People firing off guns and dumping trash.

Report Check-In

Lots of ATV and Dirt bikes on the weekend therefore very noisy all day. It did quiet down after sunset on Sunday. However, come Monday it was nice and quiet and you could actually hear the songbirds. Place is pretty trashed but nothing a rake and a fire didn't solve.

Report Check-In

Found a large flat area near the quarry, lots of roads and spots in this area, deeper you go rougher / narrower the road gets. Lots of trash and not super nice vibes but ok for a night or two.

Report Check-In

Completely empty when I arrived, so I got a cute nook with bushes and shade. The road is a little phucked so clearance is recommended. No T mobile service 3-4 bars of Verizon. Clean & peaceful. Signs prohibit campfires however none of them indicate no camping. Flat and easily accessible with the appropriate clearance.

Report Check-In

About a half dozen sites, quiet, no garbage. The road gets pretty bumpy if you drive in further.

other spots on 140 were snowed in, but this one was mostly clear and made a great place to spend the night. the road was a bit rough and muddy/snowy in a few spots, but I had 4wd so no worries. We found a nice level pull off that could have fit us and a few more rigs. Only down side was it still got below 20 at night in March, so our drain pipe froze.

Report Check-In

This is a nice spot, but wasn’t quiet when we arrived in late afternoon. There was a carload of people firing guns. Must have been at least one child along also as there was crying going on. Also chain saws going on with 4 guys cutting firewood. View is nice though and the people left around dark.
