Description

By owner: In the shade of our oak trees, come and kick off your shoes and take a deep breath. Enjoy the silence and freedom only a farm can offer.
Pour a glass of wine and enjoy your view of the mountain. A short walk will take you to Noukrans, where a weir in the river makes a nice swimming spot. The brave can take the walk into the river for 4-5 hours and explore the big waterfall.
With no electricity, but hot showers and flush toilets, we offer you the best of both worlds. In the bush, without living like the Flintstones.
We have proper farm milk, straight from the dairy, available to buy. And per order, I deliver freshly baked bread to you.

Latest Check-Ins

I arrived on the farm without a reservation today and stopped in front of the gate to the house today. The dogs barked and I waited for someone to come out. After a while a woman appeared and I greeted her politely. She did not greet back and simply asked whatshe could do for me. I then noticed that she was visibly angry. I stated that I would like to camp there. She then became very sarcastic about me wanting to camp but didn't make a reservation. At this point I realised that a reservation was manatory so I said to her that she is clearly upset and that I would go away if she so wishes. She then switched from sarcastic to playing the victim, saying that the dogs were going crazy because of a stranger at the gate, and that her children were swimming and she had to get them out of the pool and she wasn't going to let them drown just to attend to me at the gate. I realized she was out of control with anger and said I would leave. She then switched to a lecturing mode, asking me why I think I could show up there without a reservation when everybody everywhere else would make reservations.....she continued her tirade telling me that she should know how this works because they run several businesses. I repeated that I will leave, and started putting my helmet on....she turned around and with her back to me said "it's up to you.....my husband is a dairy farmer and he'll be down at the campsite shortly". Needless to say I could not get away soon enough....I would have crawled a 100kms to get away from her venomous tongue. The fresh bread and fresh milk under the oak trees makes for a nice story, but getting such a tongue lashing from the wife who is incapable of managing her emotions leaves a very bad taste in one's mouth
