Description

Called and asked for permission to stay in the parking lot, they asked what type of vehicle and for how long, gave us permission to stay here for one night in a van. They've had some problems with larger vehicles and people staying for extended periods of time, so if you stay here, please call for permission and be respectful! It's nice they haven't revoked overnight permission entirely, let's not mess this one up! Scenic views of mountains all around from the lot.

We went to customer service and asked if we could park our van overnight. They initially sad no, but that there was a 24 hour mobile station down the road. But then the manager said it would be OK for one night. Thank goodness because it had just begun to rain very hard. We made sure to do some shopping. The night was quiet.

Report Check-In

Stayed one night with no issues on the southwest side of the parking lot. Went inside and got some groceries and used the wifi. Really nice views because this Walmart is tucked in the mountains. Added bonus: fireflies at night!

so there are no signs at this Walmart saying no overnight that I saw. but, I did ask at the customer service desk and they said it was technically not allowed but it was okay if I did as long as I parked in the back corner of the parking lot. if you do decide to stay at this Walmart make sure that you go and ask whether you call or do it in person. personally I stayed but I kind of got skeeved out knowing that I was the only one staying overnight. but by the time I got there I really had no other option I was so overtired. personally I would not stay here again. just because the whole vibe of no other boondockers there weirded me out. I love the view of the mountains from the parking lot but unfortunately the worry of kind of keeping one eye open and half expecting the dreadful knock overwhelmed the beauty of this scenery for me.
