The beach is really nice, however, you definitely need a 4x4 vehicle to enjoy it. Or you have to camp traditionally with a tent. The access road is in a really poor condition and there is only a tiny place in front of the beach, which is not really nice at all ... Use the other informal campsite in the forest nearby if you are traveling in a normal vehicle.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
The trees were recently taken out and because of that, the earth looks very loose and even if I am driving a good 4x4, I am not risking going down, because I am pretty sure no one is going back up that hill without a tractor or some help! Beside, without the trees, you are pretty much camping on the side of the road, so there is no point.
Report Check-InGreat spot to avoid the massive crowds everywhere else around Bariloche and San Martin. Even at high season, I only saw 1 family here quietly enjoying the sunset.
A great wildcamp with spectacular views across the lake and mountains. Some road noise that gets less and less at night. But at least you aren't visible from the road. Also amazingly there were no black flies here, even though they were all over me at other campsites the past few days.
Report Check-InPossible with 2wd if you go to the hard spot on the left. We immediately got stuck driving a little bit in the soft sand on the right. But we got out with sand plates. Driving up to the road is more demanding. It is a little steep with soft sand. We are heavy (3t) and needed a little speed. Beautiful little beach. Quiet at night. During the day some people (holiday season).
Report Check-Insweet little spot. no real 4x4 necessary if you stay on the hard sand. met another overlander.

Report Check-InBeautiful view by the lank on sand beach. No facilities. Free. We didn’t use 4x4.
Report Check-InGreat spot we were 5 with 2 tents and found some flat places to put the tents on the sand and slept hearing the sound of the waves ! Left some wood for the next ones at our fire pit
Report Check-InBeautiful spot right on the water. Granite sand beach with fire pits. No issues in a big van with 4x4.
Report Check-InGreat little beach on the lake. Crystal clear water is cold but nice for a quick dip. Close but secluded from the road. A few people stopped by during the day for lunch but very quiet at night. Nice views. No facilities. Free. Had no problems with 4x4. Took a bag of trash with us...beautiful spot so help to keep it clean.
Report Check-InConfirm all the other comments. Beautiful spot. Not windy at night. We’re in a 4x4 and didn’t have any problems with the sand.
Report Check-InDefinitely one of the best camping spots we had so far, just beautiful! We walked a bit away from the entry behind a natural barrier so we had our "own private beach" which was amazing!
Report Check-InBeautiful spot on the beach! We spent a couple of nights here.. quiet, and even in bad weather we didn't feel too exposed to the wind
Report Check-InVery quite during night. Clean. Water is lovely for swimming. Sand in not good gor motorbikes but quite good gor 4x4s. Free no ammenities. Collect your trash.
Report Check-InYepppp 4WD needed for the sand - it's deeper than it looks / feels. We gave it a crack and ended up digging. The small parking spot is sweet for a 2WD though, not visible from the road. Plenty of firepits on the beach!
Report Check-InBeautiful and quiet spot. Only saw two locals that were enjoying the sunset at the beach. Definitely recommend to stay here for the night.
Report Check-InVery nice spot. Definitely need 4x4 for the sand. Fantastic panoramic view. No wind.
Edit 20th Oct: we came back to stay here on the way back to the border after visiting Bariloche. One of the only (and best) wild camps we can find in the area. There is space for 3 vehicles.
Report Check-InGood spot, especially for 4x4 as you car park on the beach. Beautiful views, some noise from the road. Popular spot for overlanders and few place so can fill quickly.
Report Check-InOn the way to Villa Angostura, a hidden exit to the lake. Wind protected room for two cars only. If you are driving a 4x4 you can park on the beach. Beautiful views of the lake! No amenities. Take your trash.
