Camp next to a stream in the National Park forest—5GEL per person per night for camping, collected by park patrol personnel. Cross the small stream to a flat picnic area—can accommodate 6 vehicles. No problem for 2wd. 4wd recommended after rain. Lots of fireplaces. Very quiet. Off season you might be alone. Cellphone 3G.

lovely spot for tents, not possible to enter with car/caravan/rug anymore because it is closed off with a locked gate. you can park your car/bike and walk over the bridge though (what we did). benches, firespots ready. quite night and good reception. there is a blue water pipe with fresh clean water. something does feel that this place will soon be developed into something that is not accessible anymore. Also good place to drink vodka and dance all night ;)
Report Check-InThe national park patrol came by and asked for 5 GEL per person per night for camping—showed us ID and gave us a receipt. They were friendly and polite. Coming from the north, this is the first camping spot suitable for a vehicle after the excellent Zakari pass sites. Here, the tree surrounded flat meadow next to the stream will accommodate up to 6 vehicles. We camped 5m higher on a small 1 car shelf—approach to this spot is v short but steep and narrow. Very nice place but busy with picnickers during summer.
