If you're looking for dispersed camping on the Green River and can live without a pit toilet this is the place!
Drive through the small section of private land and no trespassing signs and turn right at the area 6 sign. While everyone else is camping on top of each other and sharing space with day use people at the grassy areas 1-4, you'll enjoy silence and a riverfront view. This road loops around and there are about 5 or 6 spots along the way. Road is a little rutted out in spots but just go slow and you'll be fine, we had no issues in our 170 Sprinter. We took the second spot in that had a picnic table and fire ring. Out of the 5 days we spent here we had only 2 neighbors both of which only spent 1 night, and they weren't close enough to bother us anyway.
It is so quiet out here its eery at times. But we've never seen so much wildlife camped in one spot over 5 days: bald eagles and hawks, an otter, a badger, coyote, mountain lion, and pronghorn.... All on the other side of the river.
Great place to fish or just relax and enjoy peace.
