Description

Exclusive camp in Gonarezhou National Park. Shady tree on sloping ground at site, but we chose to park on the level sandy spot just in front of the site. Very picturesque in a gorge of the Runde River. Good animal sittings across the river where critters come down to drink. Camp costs USD40.00 per day for the site. Park entrance and vehicle fees another USD10.00. The site has a fire place and pit toilet. One could bucket water from the river if needed.

Gorgeous spot, gorgeous scenery ! Many animals coming at the river ! One bull elephant wandered into our camp in the evening. We also saw an herd of 11 ellies in the other side and baboons, kudus, hippos, crocodiles... Watch out for crocs if going to the river to fetch water or hang out...
Steep camp spot but the area just in front is ok and easy access. Pit toilet. Access road is not rocky anymore, very easy.
One of the most beautiful camping spot in the world. Worth the price.

Stunning spot with great views over the gorge with lots of game coming down to the river to drink. The 2-3km road to get to the camping spot is very steep and a challenging rocky drive.
The camping spot itself isn’t very flat so bring levelling blocks.
