Zimbabwe
Exclusive camp site in Gonarezhou National Park at the confluence of the Save and Runde Rivers. We couldn’t find the actual camp site so parked up in the river bed at the junction and spent the night there. Lots of game around with herds of elephant crossing the river through the night. The pool next to the camp is “alive” with crocodiles. Camp costs USD40.00 per night with park and vehicle fees an extra USD10.00.

You can't book this camp anymore, Clemence at reception said it's not so nice anymore so they are going to fix it up. We were allowed to camp here because all the other camps were booked and we wanted to stay on this side of the park. It's a nice wildcamp spot at the (dry) Save riverbed, but views are really not comparable to the other camps at the Runde river.
Report Check-InNow a wilderness camp, exclusive use, 90US$ international.
Nice view on a sidearm of the Save river, lot's of game passing by.
Location is not a the Save-Runde junction, but before the turnoff to the junction (sign posted)
