Description

This is a very nice place to camp and relax. The headquarters is one km from highway 5 heading to the border of Brazil. Ask there for the stay and then continue for another two km to the campground. There are some hiking trails around the park and the best is the stay is free of charge. The electrical hookup is a little bit difficult but when you have a cord from about 10 m you can find a outlet.

Reading the comments makes it very confusing. This pin appears to be originaly at a different location and has been moved several times.
At the CURRENT gps coordinates, in this point, there is Zona Historica where you'll find the tomb of Mariscal Lopez. There is a nice grassy field, a picnic table and a big monument.
You could spend the night here if for whatever reason you wouldnt want to, or couldnt go to the campground.

Report Check-In

The access to the formal campsites is closed and all the the facilities are abandoned and unusable. The ranger at the entrance told us we could park there though, it’s a nice grassy and shady place with ample space for big rigs. Easy to acces with only paved roads leading to it.
Quiet despite the leaf-cutting ants highway close by.

Camping is open! We payed 20.000pp + 5.000per motorcycle + 20.000 for the tent. There are cold showers and toilets, but at the beginning there was no water and it was not maintained. But it is a really nice place in nature!

Report Check-In

Camping is open! We had to pay the entrance only once, to stay several days. Very quiet. A kind of bugs here, but they don’t bite, only few mosquitoes. Showers are at the other camping spot, cold water and lot’s of mosquitoes. Drinking water and ice available at the entrance.

Report Check-In

Nice, big open camping area for tents and parking for vehicles. No electricity and restrooms were not open when we were here in low season but drove to a little further down the road to second camping area which was nicer and shaded with power.

Report Check-In

Really nice campsite, quiet, grassy, good to rest for a while. Electricity plug available and possibility to make a little campfire. Water available at the entrance of the park, 3 km back to the main road.

Report Check-In

We found the gps info a bit confusing, so we changed it to the maingate location.
