Nice spot off JT truck trail. 4x4 and decent clearance recommended. Very open, and road dead ends so no traffic while I was camped here. Going further leads you up Twentynine palms mountain. Road gets rougher as you continue on.
Location is big enough for a number of rugs with RTT and some clear spots for tents. The ground is quite rocky.
Verizon and Sprint both have good LTE service. This is a full sun location with no trees.
You can see a few houses to the west at the foothills and heard plenty of gunshots during the day and coyotes at night.

Pretty view of 29 palms, 1 mile of sandy road, wash board but pretty packed. Made it in my short skoolie, but stopped early to a pull off to the left with a fire ring. At least 4 other vans passed me late into the night. Quiet & super close to Joshua tree.
Report Check-Inseveral other rigs parked along this road. cars driving through well into the night, as well as some ATVers that got their kicks in before darkness fell. Good enough for a night!

Camped there in the Spring of 2019 while visiting Joshua Tree Nat'l Park... Very quiet.
