trails, water on both sides, great sunset view across the Missouri River. trail head so cars come and go. but very quiet and seemingly safe. parked just before the nature area sign - no signs prohibiting overnight parking.

Spent a couple days on the causeway between the fishing pier and the nature park. Is definitely noisy with teenagers driving fast down there and people coming in and out. First night an ambulance and few cop cars showed up.
Report Check-InNice spot right by the water. Didn’t use trails but stayed one night with a bus literally right in front of the sign before the end parking lot starts. No bothers no knocks and the cops came through a couple times. Good service and bathroom a few steps away
Report Check-InGreat place for an overnight. Parked across the causeway along the trees by the fence. Quiet night! Police patrolled. Gets busy with dog walkers. The trails are amazing! Went for a 9.5km run around the island. Definitely recommend!
Report Check-Instayed the night here. no hassles. locals I talked to were friendly. less wind than camping on the prairie.
Report Check-Ingood, clean, quiet place after dark to catch some zees. arrived after 9pm and there was a suv+trailer in the pull off plus another vehicle so we parked along the fencing/trailhead parking. there were a few other random cars hanging out and they cleared by 10pm. we didn't have time to hike in the preserve but looks like a nice area for a good morning walk or run!
