This is an established camp sight right on canyon lake, we found it on the recreation.gov app. They have lots of different options, tent only, full hook up and even screened in shelters. We booked last minute, with only full hook ups available, but were ok in our rooftop tent. A little expensive 30-45$, but clean bathrooms with hot showers, nice view and well spaced out spots. They are very strict about check in/out time, gate locks at 10 pm.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Potters Creek is an excellent established site. With water, electricity, fire ring and picnic table at each site. Sites are large and extremely clean. Hot showers throughout. When making the reservation on Recreation.gov, make sure you put in your Annual America the Beautiful Park Pass (if you have one) and you’ll save 50%. I would most def stay here again. Everyone was nice and the whole park was very quiet. If you can, stay in one of the lower numbered sites (1-60). They were a tad bit bigger and a seemed to be a little newer.
Report Check-InQuiet park with lots of RV’s. If you go during the week, you can find plenty of spots by the lake where you feel alone and have a lot of space. $24 a night. Electrical and water next to site. Showers and restrooms.
