Start of the Roraima Trekking! An Indian Community, 20 km offroad from the Main Road Troncal 10, 4x4 only! steeps and narrow roads, you can book a jeep transfer from San Francisco de Yuruani (by the main road)
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Place is for free and you can leave you can here while you do the trek. It is doable with 2x4 I had no problems and it’s rainy season (I think they have recently done some work on the road)
Report Check-InWe spent the night camping at the Posada. If you do not use any amenities it's for free. There are no toilets, no water, no Wi-Fi but a first row view of Monte Roraima.
You can either so guided hikes or if you do not want a guide you can do quite a few shorter trails around the village. Just ask at the Guarda Parque.
Info for dog owners: huge amount of ticks.
Report Check-InWe had to spend the night in the village at the end of our hike as it started raining a lot and we were on motorbikes. We asked at the tourist office and they told us we could pitch our tent under the shelter next to it. There are toilets (clean) and a shower. Also a tap with potable water (according to the locals at least)
There are a few small shops that sell essentials and a place that serves food. Also a shop where you can buy internet. Everyone were very friendly
