Drove beyond other marked sites on easy dirt road. Wide flat spot with fire ring, no other amenities. Freeway a very full background noise. View across the valley. Had decent cell coverage on Verizon.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
Loads of spots to park. Beautiful sunsets. Pretty quiet though you can faintly hear the e highway.
Report Check-InThis is a great place!!! I have a class C And the road in is rough. I don’t think I would try it in a big rig or pulling anything heavy. I drove in about 1.5 miles. No one around, but I heard voices and a dog (or I’m losing my mind after 11,000 miles on the road!) a bit ago. Never saw either. There was one area at the low spot lthat had obviously been washed out but it was drivable, slowly.
edited…If you don’t mind parking in sight, but well off I40, there is one or two places that are big rig accessible.
Report Check-InEasy dirt road, decent Verizon service and big open field to let the dogs run, road was a little muddy but handled it no problem, nice view of the valley, distant freeway noise
Report Check-InTons of room, 2wd road. Some 4wd side roads if one likes. Fire pit, minimal insects, great views. Wild camping.
Report Check-InLoved this spot, stayed 2 nights. Its worth driving a bit further in. Had a tree for shade and hanging up the solar shower. 1 hour something to Grand Canyon NP
