Great kayaking lots of wildlife. Go out turn left, fun paddle through the tree osprey all around. Real friendly owners.

amazing place to camp for the night. lots of wildlife. the showers are hot. when I arrived there was a fishing tournament going on but shortly after setting up they all left and it was just me and a few fishermen. very quiet and peaceful. they only take cash so make sure to bring 10$ a person in cash. the owner is absolutely amazing. very helpful and friendly.

The price has gone up to $10 per person. This includes hot showers in a moderately clean bathroom, which normally would be "meh", but the great wildlife viewing makes up for the cost vs. amenities! I saw many gators, various species of herons, anhingas, white ibis, ospreys,red-shouldered hawks, turtles, and a river otter.

what for a f... great spot! you camp on the side from a small pond/River on an dead end road. there you have no protection from the sun, so it could be maybe hot in summertime. near the boat ramp at the day using area you could find picnic tables and BBQ. On your side you can sit in your chair and watch the wildlife cinema just few feet away. lot of alligators, birds, turtle, otters and fishes. beside the boat ramp you have an 24/7 open washroom with showers. and that's for 5$ per person. I didn't see any signs, that forbidden big RV's. but it's for sure nicer without because it's only a "camp". because of the wildlife I stayed one night longer. you also can take a airboat tour, just ask at the shop. it's very quiet at night, except the frogs a bit.... I will definitely stay here again on may way back from the key's.
edit February 12th:
I wanna stay one night here again, but the owner telling me today that it must be 30 days between each stays. so he sent me away! no exceptions! that was definitely a bad experience.

It seems to be different now from the comments and pictures. It's 5$ per pearson. More ore less 5-6 campsite, but the signs says just for tent. We arrived in the evening no one there, we just assume the sign was to say no big rig and trailer. At the morning the lady came to tell us to come pay when we are ready. She confirmed what i tought, so we were ok with our van. Many alligators, shower hot, really quiet.

great little campground at a lake that hosts turtles, raccoons, alligators, a variety of birds, but most special thousands of ospreys - in season. Clean bathrooms and possibility of boat rentals...sounds too good to get all that for free, right?
So now they charge a little: $5 per person- still a great deal.
