Something not right?

Description

Traveled up a myriad of networked dirt roads outside of VOF SP. Easily accessible, neighbors were very spread out. This dispersed spot was large and flat and had great views. There are others in every direction. Much less populated than Poverty Flats side (that was a zoo)! Great sunset and sunrise. Good ATT 5G signal.

windy but quiet peaceful and remote. 4 wheel probably a good idea.

Report Check-In

We didn’t have a great time here, but you might. There’s not a lot of privacy as others have mentioned. We don’t mind that because we understand the land is shareable, especially when it comes to camping. We were only looking for a place to sleep and leave early in the morning. Things were getting full and people started to get territorial and strange. Lots of city folk here. Wouldn’t camp here again. Next night we went into Valley of Fire and picked up a spot easy for the night, campgrounds always say full, they often aren’t (specially a weekday in autumn) go check on spots there. But like I said, *you* might have a great time!

This area is pretty wide open, but i didn't see too many spots. Privacy is questionable as you can see others in most directions, but everyone is spread out.
5g ATT signal in certain areas. The roads had varying inclines and declines some might find steep. I would not reccomend a 2wd vehicle going too far into this road. I bottomed out about a half mile in in my (non-lifted) 4Runner.

Report Check-In

Per instructions below I went straight up the dirt road to get here rather than follow google maps.
There is a dip just before the hill that this spot is on. The bottom of my van scraped, though I was able to get past it.
So it looks like either way you go high clearance is recommended.
I counted 3 spots before this one (before the dip) that were all taken.
Nice views and fire pit, though.

Report Check-In

To get to this area, turn directly up the hill from Hwy 169. Google Maps will take you up the next road to the north and it will look feasible at first but will soon turn into a 4WD, high clearance track. If you turn up the dirt road that goes directly up to the marked location, it's an easy road.

There are 5-7 sites up this road. At least one has a vehicle but no person in sight. Arrive early if you want to stay here. The last place was taken today by 2 pm.

Although the sites are a fair distance apart, there's no real privacy.

3 bars of Verizon LTE.
