Description

This place is crazy! It’s like you are camping on an island. Which can be good and bad. It rained and was really windy last night so I definitely didn’t sleep good. And it is a little Sandy going here but any vehicle can make it. Definitely a spot to check out

Now closed and gated with No Trespassing sign. Too bad it looks like it was awesome.

Report Check-In

CLOSED SITE. Locked fence blocks entrance. Lots of no overnight camping signs.

We stayed 1 night right behind the old lighthouse, very busy, a lot of fishing people around. Only downside people still trashing the place, even there are waste bins 🗑️ around😤

Report Check-In

The place is great to spend the night.
But it's a shame that there's a lot of trash all over the floor. I don't understand people who do this! Because of that, one day it will surely become forbidden to spend the night there. we won't be able to find free spots like this anymore! Lots of other cars, and campers. Few cars come by with music but not to late. Quite night et feel safe.

Whatever this place is, it’s not a formal campground. It’s an artificial boat basin not cared for by anyone and as such it’s a brilliant wild camp on the Biloxi waterfront. I mind my own business even when walking my dog here which makes this an unbelievable free spot to spend the night among the lovers, sunset watchers, homeless, car dwellers and even one evening an undertaker in his hearse walking his dog. No facilities but in the night traffic on the highway evaporates and you can sleep as well here as in a forest. Or you can worry about what other people are doing. Your choice. I love it.

Was terrible…couldn’t stay the night a lot of trash, very busy (a lot of people)!! Terrain is very rugged the further you go. Wish it still was as beautiful as the pictures I seen!!

Report Check-In

interesting place for sure... trashy but quiet for the most part...you will find needles or other paraphernalia laying around couple broke down cars. If you dislike homeless and or vagrants not the place for you though seems this is a hot spot for them where Local law don't bother em.

Very beautiful place minus the trash on the ground. This is informal camping more than an established campground. There is dumpster for garbage but that’s about it. Lot of room and decent LTE service. Would stay again!

We stayed at this location for 2 nights and really enjoyed it. We never felt the threat of “someone might kick us out.” The space is so open and safe that we let our cats run free for a few hours. The place does have trash, and some abandoned cars, we even found used needles - but even with that I would stay here again. Wind usually started up in the afternoon and it is very strong.

Almost surreal. Like an unorganized campground on this lot of land in the water. It seems odd, but is totally safe. The terrain is tricky, but no worry of getting stuck. Try to come in daylight, it’ll be easier to navigate. Had several cars come and go all night with another 6 or so around until the morning when fisherman started showing up.

Report Check-In

definitely not a campground. it's just a piece of land with a concrete wall built around it. very trashy.

Report Check-In

Cool spot! Tons of trash everywhere which is unfortunate. Lots of people fishing during the day. Plenty of level spots to pull over and park. I’m a solo female traveler and was approached by several sketchy people while I was here in the evening so I did not feel comfortable staying the night. But cool views of the water and lighthouse.

Report Check-In

ocean side camping, quite with lots of local fisherman.

Report Check-In

Trashed and forgotten by the State like the rest of Mississippi. Was easy to get to and just as easy to turn around and leave. Lots of broken glass and even a couple syringes needles.

Seems I keep staying at Natedog’s checkins, but this was another good one. The previous description was good, but just point your van into the wind and it’s no biggie. Offshore wind so I pointed towards land and didn’t sway at all. Could hear the wind and water which was cool but no swaying. The drive out isn’t hard but definitely a “choose your own adventure” on which path to take. I stayed nearer the opposite corner as the previous poster but all the same really. No cops, no knocks and no sketchy situations. Good T-Mobile service.
