Description

Lightly forested public park with boat ramp, picnic tables, grills, and rest-rooms on a pretty lake. Posted sign says camping up to 10 days is allowed! We stayed overnight and into the afternoon in our converted sprinter at one of the picnic areas, in a dirt pull-off. There is a larger paved parking lot for the boat ramp with long spots big enough for larger rigs. Tent camping seems tolerated as well. The bathrooms were locked when we were here, may be seasonal, but there were port-o-potties that weren’t too bad. Overall a nice peaceful spot to spend a night or two not far from Fort Worth!

Nice park. Fairly peaceful despite being next to main road. Got to watch multiple boat launches and retrievals.

Nice spot for a couple days. Seems fairly quiet and not many people around today. If you are passing by I would say give it a try. I am in 24 ft RV.

Plenty of shade trees in a few camping spots with picnic tables available and sunny parking areas for solar panels. There are restrooms available with sinks providing limited water for small containers. Overnight tent campers during my three night stay were homeless men. The Grandbury Lake scenery is nice with a boat ramp in the park and a small marina close by. Many businesses are within three miles to suit many needs. I made use of the wi-fi at McDonalds just north of the location to upload videos at 12mbs for my YouTube channel and the store is open 24/7. City and county patrols cruise by several times a day with no inquiries. A Spring thunderstorm did damage some trees but crews cleaned them up the next day.

Tons of space to park and you can stay up to 10 days no worries. Washrooms are okay lots of garbage around.

fwiw, this is right in the middle of town and I found it rather noisy trying to sleep on a Friday night

Sweet Spot.

Very quite and plenty of room to move around.

Free with 10 day limit. No water or electricity at sites but public restrooms close by.

I arrived at night so was somewhat confused about which spots were for proper camping and which was just side of the road. Seemed like all the proper ones were full (on a rainy weeknight at 9pm) so I set up off to the side without any issues.

We stayed here 3 nights without any problems, police even drove through a few times. There were a few other RVs and a couple tent campers. The bathrooms were open but not the cleanest. Awesome spot for a night or two. Highly recommend check out Dinosaur Valley if you are in the area.
