This is on the road that leads to another posted campsite but instead of going all the way to it I decided to stop here to be closer to the interstate for the morning.
Exit off I-40 and this spot is to the right just after the paved road turns to dirt. Awesome views of mountains surrounding the place. To the east are train tracks that seemed to have trains coming through very frequently, and the west is the interstate so it isn’t a silent spot but for being just off an interstate I can’t complain at all. Plenty of room for any size rig here and multiple can fit. Road is accessible by any vehicle. I have Verizon and have 4 bars

Caution - bears! I was the only one in this place (1st of May), camping in a tent since I travel by bicycle. I heard a loud rustling in the bushes not far from my tent and got up to check. Then I saw two very small bears that got scared and ran away. I moved to the other side of the highway because it was already dark, so I didn't have much choice. I googled and found out that black bears live on the Hualapai mountains, what is very close. So, be carefull with food and remains.
Report Check-InGreat place. Wide open and nobody else around while we were here. But you have to be ok with lots of train traffic 24/7.
Report Check-InGreat spot close to rail road tracks, so you have to be ok with that, but we’ve only seen 3 other vehicles pass by in the past 24 hours.
Report Check-InJust as described! Close to the highway, noisy train but beautiful sunset and plenty of space!
Report Check-InRight off the hwy, so lots of road noise. However, it is the trains that are LOUD! Our friend had earplugs making sleep possible. We were in a rooftop tent, a van or rv with windows closed would fare better.
Report Check-Innot bad. easy access. road noise and train noise, but it's a great quick in and out spot. the one further back would be nicer and more quit but I didn't have time to disconnect the car and drive back there, our rig is 32 feet long and doesn't like washboard so this spot is better
