Beginning January 2, 2024 the Potable Water Stand will have locks placed on both water dispensing spigots. In order to receive the combination, you must come into City Hall and prepay for your potable water.
Bonus: public splash pad kids can play at next door!

Can confirm it is locked now. I didn’t get water since I was headed towards Flagstaff anyways. Clearly this is in place to prevent out of towners from using it. Since the other spigot was completely removed I doubt they are going to give me the combo. But feel free to try its still here.

Report Check-InWith 5th wheel in tow, we approached heading south on Navajo Blvd and headed west on Delaware. The spigot is on the left side of the road, but there was no traffic so we stopped on the wrong side to fill easily. Be aware when circling back to Navajo Blvd as some N/S streets have gigantic dips not suitable for RVs.

Warning if driving around town with RV, many street intersections have extreme dips for drainage. Have to be careful or risk dragging.

Report Check-InThis is a very popular spot and locals come here to fill up their BIG water tanks. There is a regular spigot and then a high pressure one and if they are using the high pressure one at full blast, the spigot is dry. I only had 20 gallons to fill and two people with a 375 and 1,025 tanks came to fill which allowed me just a dribble, but it’s free water. :)

water still here and still free. unfortunately the hydrant sprays water out the top when turned on, but it works. hope they don't remove it from service! (try not to yank it open so hard)

Report Check-InStopped by for water and everything was just like others had said. There is also a splash pad water park open to the public for free that our kids loved playing at!

Report Check-InOn the side of city hall. Threaded spigot. City Hall workers waved as we filled our tanks. Just make sure you do not exit across Arizona street, it's a raised road and your rig will bottom out.

Report Check-InOpen year round, frost free hydrant. It's city drinking water. Area locals use it who haul water to their houses. Filled my RV (50 gallon).
Report Check-InWater right in front at the street per the pics on other posts. Even met the lady across the street. She was asking about our Sprinter because she wants one. Anyway, she said anyone can and does fill up with water at this spot. Great spot.

Report Check-InIf facing city hall the water fill is to the right of city hall by the sidewalk. We asked an employee if it was kosher and she said yes and it is good to drink, if filling more than 100 gallons they charge $1 🤷♀️ really nice fill up area. Warmers are on the pipes to keep from freezing.

Report Check-InStopped in at OK campground to see if we could get water. She said no and said we needed to go to “the city”. We never figured out what that meant, but stopped at city hall where they had potable water. We asked an employee and he said it was fine to fill up.
