free city wifi like many Sacramento parks. access to a nice part of the river. has dog park but no shade. parking lot is shared and open until dusk. we stayed one night then the second the park ranger kicked us out. a few RVs are parked permanently by the planned Parenthood. that's where we stay if needed.

no longer a good place to sleep, woke up to police telling me to move

We just stopped here and parked and a man from The energy company came through and said they’ve just changed to no overnight parking. He said we would be ticketed if we stayed. Sad; looks like a nice, quiet place for a night.

Report Check-In

Stayed for a night. Quiet and spacious with shades. Walking distance to the beach and dog park.

3 days here waiting on an amazon delivery. Quite a variety of characters but had no issues here and wasn't bothered by anyone. Nice beach, basketball courts, dog park walking and bike trails.
I can see where some might say it is sketchy but I have travelled so many places I am more than used to seeing a few people that are rough around the edges.

Report Check-In

Absolutely not. This spot is super sketchy even during the day. I thought I might go paddle boarding but when I walked down to the beach to scope everything out, it was pretty raucous. The parking lot was even worse. There seemed to be some longterm residents who were partying hard.

there's a beach just down the path! shhh. great spot to camp for the night. I'm traveling with two kids and a dog in a campervan, no issues or concerns.

Ok area for a stop over, lots of other RVs. Our neighbor, who looks like they’re a permanent resident, was yelling at others off and on from about 12am till 3am, so that was annoying.

Report Check-In

Nice place to spend a night in our motorhome, there was like 5 more RVs parked there and other vans, even some people in their rvs they have generators working, seems that they are there since some days. Anyway we sleep quiet, in the toilet pits that was closed was a sing that said the parking lot rules and said “no overnight” but we decide to stay anyway and we have no issues.

As good as it gets in the Sacramento area. Tweakers have taken such a toll on Sacramento, and the surrounding areas, that finding a free camping spot in a safe area is next to impossible. Glad I found this spot, because it’s both safe, quiet, and (as far as I can tell) completely devoid of tweakers.

Such a good spot. Quite a few vans and a couple bigger rigs. Shady, quiet, wonderful spot that could be more long term I imagine. We spent one night here. Bathrooms a 2 minute walk across the street. Not sure if open late at night.

Report Check-In

Quiet, easy to find and get in, solar panels provided some shade from the rain, full cell reception, great spot

Report Check-In

This parking lot doesn’t have a gate or any no overnight signs. It’s relatively quiet right by a beautiful bike path on the river. I stayed here last night and was woken up by birds singing.

At least 4 other RVs stayed the night too. A few look like they’ve been here a while. It’s shaded by solar panels. Pretty ideal
