Hotel with friendly staff and local
management. The night outside was very quiet and refreshing with no traffic at all and no people around. Camping allowed on the main car parking area for 20,000 UGX pppn. You can pitch a tent on two big, flat, nice grassy lawns with tables, chairs and shade provided. The grass itself is not acessible by vehicles which should not matter. You can ask the night guard to switch off some of the bright lighting at night for better sleep. They open a room for (cold) shower if you ask. Clean flush toilets on entrance level. Cold beer in restaurant is 4000 UGX. Nice view from the road on Tororo Rock and if you are lucky on Mount Elgon.
The cheapest room would be 80,000 UGX.
