Description

very nice waterfalls with light blue pristine water. we've seen a lot of waterfalls and this one is really worth it.
you can access by the two sides of the river, run by 2 different owners.
the one on the left (where this post is pointed) is 40 pesos for adults and free for kids.
At the top of the paved path, you can pay another 20 $/person to go further and see another waterfall.

Opening hours: 8 am - 5 pm

has good infrastructures with kids games at the enter. you can refresh in the cool water after a 50 minutes walk up to the final waterfall. then on the way back you can return quickly with a nice zip line for 250 pesos (adventurous kid of 4 years old was allowed to do it himself!) if needed, less than 10 years can be accompanied by a guy from the zip line.

Latest Check-Ins

Price update on the left side is 50pesos pp plus 25 pesos pp if you want to do the last stretch up to the last fall, the last strech is a not well maintained trail but has a side rail, when we got there no attendant but we went up anyway. To sleep in parking lot they ask 100 pp, not sure if depend on who is on guard.
The right side looks more maintained and better trail to go up. They do not want you to swim under waterfalls pool but ok elsewhere. It looks on left side there are less approachable swimming areas but at the beginning of the trail there are lots of pools
We got there at 2 pm in the afternoon, there were no tours left, just 5 persons around and good light for pictures, the trails are under canopy so you have some relief from the sun. They close at 5.00pm. The water is really cristal clear. Is a mice place to spend the day. I suggest avoid weekends.

Report Check-In

An absolute MUST DO. Crystal blue water (probably brown in rainy season though) and nice hike up. The first 4 waterfalls were easy to get to - some stairs and plenty of swimming spots along the way. Refrescos for purchase along the way. The last two waterfalls were quite tough to get to - I’m young & fit (but not cardio fit) but there’s places to stop along the way and it is DEFINITELY worth it at the top. Could do the whole park in 3-6 hours but worth an overnight stay and visiting the park 6-8am to see it with nobody else around (magical). I visited the southeast side (80p pp) and enjoyed it. Not many people on the northwest side when I went and it looked more run down with less or none refreshments to buy

Report Check-In

Slept outside before turn into falls and had a quiet night. Right path (facing the falls) now charges 80p pp.

Great place to visit and stay the night. Watch google maps, the location is wrong when using google maps, google maps took us 1/2 hour away from here, we ended up following the blue dot on iOverlander . I am hoping this will fix the directions.

stunning waterfalls and rockpools!
Cascada Velo de Novia (left side) 40 pesos p/p you're allowed to walk till the 3rd waterfall only - Velo de Novia (tallest fall) 1hr walk on a paved track. (one way)
Cascada El Chiflon (right side) 50 pesos p/p you are allowed to walk all the way to the top, you can see 2 more waterfalls but pretty steep track.
both companies have ziplines ( one of them is 450m long and 80m high) 250 pesos
You can swim at some of the little cascades along the way or at the beginning of the track.

We entered on the left side facing the waterfall, its still 40 pesos per person and 20 pesos per person additionally to go all the way up. It was worth the 20 pesos and the struggle to get all the way up as you have another waterfall and pool to swim for yourself.
We also crossed the river to the other side (right side facing the waterfall). On the right side you don't have to pay the 20 extra pesos to go all the way up (plus you can go up even one waterfall further) BUT you don't have the option to swim up there, so we prefered the left side. On the other hand, there are more options to swim downstream on the right side than in the left side. Anyhow, prettiest waterfall we have seen in Mexico!

Everything as described. Well maintained. At the top of the paved path, you can pay another 20 $/person to go further and see another waterfall.
