Something not right?

Description

Beautiful flat spot along the river, clean and peaceful. Gravel road in, a little steep on the last spur road to the spot and a bit muddy if it has recently rained. Most vehicles can make it with careful driving, but high clearance recommended. Water has a nice turquoise color due to the local serpentine deposits.

Beautiful spot right next to the creek. We came on a weekend in early June and there was only one other camper. Fairly clean, though occasional piles of trash. Incredibly clear water. Mosquitoes were prevalent and didn’t seem to mind our ‘natural insect repellent’ one bit. No cell reception and Starlink couldn’t make connection through the trees (though other spots down here may have better luck). Fire pit on the campsite to the far right side- permit required. We were told of a ranger catches you with no permit, you can buy on spot. The roads down were passable, though a bit narrow and pitted for my 24’ shuttle bus conversion.

Like everyone else has said, beautiful spot by the River. We got down the road just fine with our 23ft ambulance. Our clearance is definitely not the best but had no issues. It took some carful driving but we got down and could turn around. Once you get too the fork in the road before the second bridge it would be a good idea to run down the right hand side road before hand and check for mud. It’s only 50m or so down to the spot. If to muddy, there is a turn around spot before that second bridge.
Unfortunately some trash left here now 😢 we tried to clean what we could, but definitely not touching that homemade toilet with a 10ft pole!

One of the most beautiful dispersed campsites we've stayed at in the last month of travel - water clear as glass, fall colors, private yet large enough for our dog to roam. highly recommend, especially in summer! please, please keep it clean.

Beautiful river. There are a few pullouts leading up to it. Big rigs not recommended. Large vans might have a hard time turning around. Very peaceful. No reception on Verizon.

Tried to stay here but road is closed due to fires recently.

We looked at this spot and explored the FS roads in the area, but nothing was big enough for us to feel comfortable in our 26ft class c. We ended up staying the night in the large clearing right off the road.

zero cell reception.

Amazing spot with crystal clear water and wonderful sound! Some traffic through during the day but just us at night.
