Something not right?

Description

Spent a quiet, restful night here at the public parking lot. The area is well used by fishermen, but they all left by evening. There is a 5th wheel all set up and I thought it was maybe a security guard. But the couple left around 5pm and, when I asked if I would park overnight they told me they had no jurisdiction and they don't care. They said they doubted that anyone would bother us, and no one did. There are restrooms here, but closed at the moment for winter.

EDITED: I spent a wonderful night here. Did my bend and stretch walk about (picked up trash) and was having a bit of breakfast when two very nice park rangers came by and said they do not allow overnight parking and asked me to leave. 😏 Damn! This was a perfect place to overnight. I’m sad. 😞

It’s an interesting drive to get here and it is a perfect place to spend a night or two. Sadly, that last storm did a number on the landscape. Trees down all along the road (cleared so it’s driveable) and debris piles all along the way. You go across a spider web of train tracks but it’s very quiet here. I got here at sunset and have seen a few cars come and go but no one is paying any attention to me so far. I added pictures of the storm damage and the dam.

can't sleep here overnight. there are posted signs that says it closes at 10:00 p.m. However, it's a great place to work virtually. AT&T hotspot and Verizon on phone.

Great for virtual work! I'm using AT&T hotspot and my phone is Verizon and I have no problem with reception. Watching work-related videos, customer service phones are working fine and having no problem doing internet research for the project for my current contract. 🥰

got here around 8pm in our RV, no one bothered us overnight, it was super quiet and peaceful. but we were about to leave around 7am and someone knocked on our door and told us we can’t stay there.

A little dirty but we found good shade, good toilets and good drinking water! We enjoyed the sunset, watching the fishermen and the herons. Lots of cars coming and going though

This was a great place to park for a night. The view was beautiful when we woke up the next morning but unfortunately with my dog we could not enjoy it because there were so many stray cats surrounding the area. There were quite a few other cars in the lot and there is a hiking trail right across the street from the parking area. Definitely recommend this spot but only if you do not have a dog.

Interesting place. It’s an underfunded park in an industrial area. People kinda randomly coming and going but everyone keeps to themselves and stays out of your business. Sign has posted hours but no one seems to care. Saw two full size long term RV’s that looked like the park caretakers. I parked out of sight and popped my camper. Nice and quiet night. No one bothered me. A homeless man sleeps in a tent on the waterfront and so I don’t think anyone cares what you do here. Woke up at 6am to a wacky cat lady feeding the stray kittens haha. Nice little crash spot just north of the city for some much needed rest.

Was definitely a beautiful little spot. Popular for fishing but just about everyone left around 9/10pm. There’s a sign saying hours close at 10 but I took a chance and nobody bugged me. I actually had about 2 or 3 cars pull into the parking lot in the night too. Restrooms here and 10/10 sunset and sunrise view
