Unfortunately, access to this area is closed. It’s not permitted to camp or to drive on Tune Drive, which is a private road. Try Black Rock hot springs instead.
Per Taos.org: “Manby Hot Springs does not have public access along the road to the springs, which is a private road and public access is causing major concerns by the property owners. The only legal access to Manby Hot Springs is from the river. Tune Drive, the road to the hot springs, and all lands along Tune Drive are privately owned and not open to the public.
Black Rock Hot Springs is located north of Taos, west of the quaint village of Arroyo Hondo, across from the John Dunn Bridge on the west bank of the Rio Grande. Pool temperatures are usually about 97 F depending on how high the river is. Black Rock is well known and easy to reach, so don’t expect to be alone.”
