Large pull-off on the north side of Silver Peak Rd just a few miles from Alkali Springs. Multiple spots could fit quite a few vehicles and could accommodate a couple larger RVs. There's a pit area in the middle that blocks the wind as the other spots were quite windy. A few fire rings spread out in the area already. Far enough from 95 to not have any highway noise and not much traffic on Silver Peak Rd. Nice spot to overnight if traveling down 95 or for a few days if you're hanging out at the hot springs. Tmobile signal was good at times, though it would sometimes slow down. Google Fi was pretty solid.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
As of 8/27/23 it is not advisable to camp here. This is a county gravel pit and may be used for road repair. Silverpeak Road is closed from all angles and violators driving around the signs can be ticketed. The deputies are checking.
Report Check-InLarge flat area created next to a large excavated pit. Could fit several rigs of any size. Didn’t stay just checked out while boondocking closer to Goldfield. The wild donkeys left some “gifts”
Report Check-InGreat gravel spot with lots of room. Stayed one night, there was one other camper there. Very quiet except for wild burros visiting at night. Beautiful sunset.
Report Check-InPerfect for an overnight stop, quiet, and you can park well off the road.
Report Check-InPlease keep it clean! Fine Verizon reception. Wild burros and horses around too!
Report Check-InAs described, a large flat gravely area, with a gravel pit. Beautiful sunset, quiet, burros singing the songs of their people. Good place for the night while traveling through.
