Latest Check-Ins

We did threee squat tours with Javier to find nests of turtles (22.30-01.00, 23.00-04.00, 20.00-22.00) on the 18km long beach for rescuing eggs. Saw four large turtles, laying eggs and were able to rescue an other nest. Unfortunately, two nests had been plundered just before we arrived, by locals. Two turtles had to turn back to sea (lack of suitable nesting places; rubbish, plastic). In the morning, we released baby turtles into the water. Its an amazing experience and hard work :o) We stayed four nights with a 7m motorhome (400p/night). Seafood in the restaurant is from the local fishermen, delicious.

Nice place, right on the beach! And an excellent place to watch the turtle release. Javier is running a program and there is on average a release each morning of around 100 turtles.

He also has an annoying puppy which won't leave you in peace on that hammocks.

400Ps/n (200Ps/person)

I slept here one night with my VW van.
200 pesos a night. You can have an extension cord connected to your rig if you need to although the access and ground is not ideal for a big rig. Clean toilets and showers, laundry sink.
Awesome turtle conservation work done by Javier who's been living in this location for 20 years. He sensibilizes the local community and kids to care for the environment. If the timing is right, you'll see baby turtles coming out of the sand!!
Great place to chill by the beach with hammocks under palapas, dinner tables at the beach or more on the property side.
Good restaurant with a multiple choices menu, desserts and a big list of drinks to choose from.
I had a great time here and loved learning about turtles from a passionate folk.
It's dog friendly. Cute young puppy on site named Pirata ❤️
