Description

Price January 2022: 150Zar ppn.
Lovely guest farm with animal interaction and super walks to waterfall. Swimming in dams and waterfall. Wood fired hot tubs are a winner. WiFi at reception but also good Cell signal. Big rigs should phone ahead as difficult to get to campsite but we parked outside a cottage.

Beautiful camping with a big dam to swim in.
Ablutions basic but clean (they are currently building a new ablutions block).
We stayed at Site Nr.10 which is directly at the dam and was perfect for us. It can be a bit busy during the day though and the site is not leveled.
There is a hiking trail to a water fall and river pool, which is beautiful.
Very good WiFi at the Reception.
Highly recommend this place if you want to relax for some days.
We paid 160R pppn.

A nice place to stay and instant on gyser shower. Good camp sites and if sparsely populated there is good spacing. Many sites wooded if solar power is needed be a problem unless vehicle is moved to sun during day. Was 300r for 2 people charged at rate of 150 pppn

Amazing campsite, one of our favorite in SA. Its very rustic so dont expect much but you really have the feeling of beeing in nature, in the middle of a forest pine trees. Campsites are very apart from each other and it gives a lot of privacy, something that is missing in most SA' campings. No power and nothing at sites, just a pit fire. Ablutions are quite simple too but functioning. There is a reservoir where u can swim in summer and have fun. The walk to the waterfall is gorgeous and that would be again such a nice place to hang out in the heat of summer. We were there in winter so not very keen for a swim but it looked amazing ! There is even a few places to lay down on some flat rocks next to the creek... Really nice place to chill.
You better book in advance though. We arrived there without notice and found a closed electric gate. We were lucky that the owner's father John (super friendly guy) arrived at the same time and he could welcomed us in the campground... If not, we might have left elsewhere.
Really a jewl of a campsite.
150pp. Firewood 50R. Good 4G signal, enough for Youtube.

Been here twice, still one of my all time fave camp sites. Owners are friendly, sites are clean and normally peaceful and the forest is a nice spot to camp in.
Hikes and dam are good fun too.
If going on a bike be aware there's a lot of sand between the entrance and the camp sites. Nothing impassible but good to keep an eye out for it. Especially if on road tires.

We found a bit expensive for what it is 150ppn. We had just slept the nights before in Kromrivier and paid 320 for 2 people with private ablutions. But it was good for the night even though it was full of Cape Town families on a Friday night. There's a lake at the campsite for swimming and a waterfall 1.4km away. Ablutions are simple. No view from the campsite since it's located inside a pine tree forest. Helpful owner. Good internet connection with Vodacom.
