Something not right?

Description

Very friendly & adorable small town! Cute shops & restaurants, with infinite free street parking. I stayed on this street near the pretty pine trees for a few nights without issue (in a Sprinter Van). I am fully self-contained so I am not sure about nearby bathroom /shower facilities.

Stayed right on Newberry St on a Saturday night. In the morning, we were the only vehicle on the street. No issues. Nothing is open on Sunday, and there are no public facilities.

Can't recommend Aiken. I didn't park in the exact place pinned but I got "the knock" . They told me that "people in Aiken are nosy" and they would call in no matter where i parked and i should go to Walmart. They said they get multiple calls a night about people sleeping in cars. Guess Southern Hospitality is more like Southern Scrutiny in Aiken. Too bad, because it is a pretty town with plenty of shops and restaurants to patronize.

Great spot and terrific small city with a welcoming vibe. Stayed at this spot with no problems in our Winnebago Solis 19' camper van. Highly recommend!

Spent a couple nights on the side of the streets downtown right off the main block without issue, very quiet at night (and even during the day, Newberry St isn't a main passthrough), checked out the restaurants bars and shops in town and was well worth the visit. Large areas of grass all around to walk your dog.

Excellent internet and unlimited free parking. We found a great spot on street parking. It was really slow all night. Lots of coffee shops around. No facilities but I am sure you could hang out around here for several days without issue. We were filling contained so our success was due part my stealth I’m sure.
