pretty smooth dirt road leading in...not like the spots further up the road. level spot large enough for one big rig. rock fire ring.

WOW! So I didn't stay at this exact spot but there are several spots on the way in that are 2wd accessible with stunning views of the lake! Truly spectacular around sunset
Report Check-InWe spent two weeks in Roosevelt waiting for the snow in Sedona to melt and in that time we camped at many of the different IOverlander options. This is hands down the perfect parking spot. There’s a direct view of the snow capped mountains and you can look down the length of the lake. At the right angle you can see the top of the bridge. There’s deer roaming and coyotes playing. It is so so peaceful.
There is no TMobile service.
It’s about a 20 minute drive to the Tonto National Park but the road is smooth and easy to navigate. No big ruts, only a little washboarding.
Report Check-InBeautiful spot! The other side of the highway is the Basin and was flooded and closed off in many places. This area is on a hill and was perfect. Fit two vans with plenty of room for a fire.
Bit of wind but not terrible. Gorgeous views of the lake and mountains. There is another level spot just south of this one that could fit a big rig but it didn’t have a full view of the lake.
