Small privately owned campground surrounded by Elkhorn River as it enters into the Kentucky River. Tent & RV friendly. Basic accommodations for restrooms/showers. Has access for boat put in near KY river confluence with Elkhorn. Great recreation to float on tubes from road entrance around the property on the the Elkhorn.
A nice campsite nestled next to the river. There is a section of the park where people live permanently, another area for campers who want water/electricity and the last area is “primitive”. This had dumping areas, as well as potable water. There were restrooms and showers, some walking trails, and this place is dog friendly! 🐾
We met some of the permanent residents and they were very friendly. There was a small brewery about 10 minutes ago which was great, and they have food trucks on Fridays
Report Check-InVery nice campground, very well maintained. Electric and water and a little office that looks to sell ice. It was very very quiet at night, good place to camp at.
