Description

Beautifully located camp site and cottages, swimming pool with crystal clear water, kitchen and nice beach. Camping in a car costs 1500 shilling for two people. No special place for overlanders but you can choose to stay in the parking lot or another place between the trees, but that one was a bit messy

We spent twelve nights here. Excellent campsite with very good facilities. Small campsite. The only neg is that it’s set away from the beach (not far) in a hollow behind a grove of trees which makes it very very hot! A fan is a requirement. Staff are friendly and accommodating and the laundry service cheap and excellent. We simply loved Watamu its a glorious holiday destination.

We have landed ourselves in heaven! Lovely campsite beautiful beach, holiday atmosphere. The village boasts many eateries, good shopping, walks along the beach, and much more. The perfect stop for a relaxing break. We enjoyed fish ‘n chips at the restaurant - delicious. This certainly was an excellent recommendation.

Great property in a wonderful location on the beach. The campsite is not on the beach so can get quite hot as you don't have the breeze. It was quite busy when we got there so sharing one toilet and one shower with 8 people was quite a squeeze. We only stayed one night. But otherwise a nice campsite with really helpful staff.

Good facilities. Booked for two nights and stayed an extra three. Charged fair prices as per their website price lists. Recommend calling/booking ahead of time though for certainty. Tours and snorkel safaris offered with a printed and competitive price list on site.

Benjamin, Ken and team couldn’t be nicer!

Self-campers can use all available facilities (pool, etc) and there is no pressure to use the restaurant but we did once and burgers and chips were really good. A self-camp kitchen with gas stove and fridge is provided.

Organised some fresh prawns through Julius for what we thought was a fair price.

Beach is easily accessible from here, and have nice lounging areas on the property with gorgeous views onto the beach and ocean. Great spot to watch the kite surfers from.

Honestly if we had more time in Kenya we probably could easily have stayed a couple of weeks here.

Small camping area but it works. There is power and a little kitchen area to use. A cold outdoor shower which is fine when you come off the beach. Swimming pool, bar and restaurant and really great beach. Paid 2000KS for 2x pax pn. Really nice place to stay.

Benjamin made us feel so welcome here, we stayed 4 nights instead of 2. 1500 per night during off season. Laundry service, massages, fresh fish, kitesurfing lessons/rental all offered on site. Loved the pool and beach access. Worked well for our Landcruiser with rooftop tent.

Arrived late afternoon after have been to Malindi in our overland vehicle only to find that it was busy, no self catering accommodation with private parking available so headed to Watamu and this fantastic spot. Paradise on a very private secluded beachfront property. Took the chalet for the night and moving into one of their tents for next 5/6 days. Reasonably priced, caters for every need. Benjamin so helpful and goes out of his way to please.

A beautiful location. The property sits above the beach and has lovely shaded sun lounging spots looking down over the beach and a very nice swimming pool which is cleaned and maintained everyday. The grounds are full of bourganveilia and different plants. it is a mix of cottages, apartments and some camping areas. We thought it worked very well for our Toyota hilux with rooftop tent and we were told it can also fit big rigs in but would be quite snug! There is a well equipped camp kitchen which we enjoyed using as a treat and an open air cold shower (lovely as very hot when we stayed) the toilet is western and flushing and the reed walls r a bit gappy meaning it's a good idea to sing while using it!! I think there is still some developing going on for the camping and it probably needs a couple more toilets and showers because it's a very tight squeeze with more than 2 overlanders. However it's worth it to enjoy the spectacular location, 1 minute walk down to the beach that at low tide has an amazing white sand, aquamarine blue sea sand bar that you can walk out on almost to the reef. We saw 2 reef sharks as we were walking on it. Great beach for kite surfing too. Benjamin the camp manager is really lovely as are all the team. we had washing done in a machine 500ksh per load. There is a newly built bar and restaurant area which looked really good but we didn't use it as cooked for ourselves. This place is also really close to great bars and restaurants in Watamu and offers dolphin and snorkeling trips. 1000ksh pppn

It's nice to see the owner's effort to create a proper place for campers: small kitchen with cooker, toaster, water boiler, fridge, dishwashing sink, open cold showers and flush toilets, a sink with a mirror, electricity plugs in the camping area. The beach is really close (3 minutes walk through the property) but the campsite can get hot without the ocean breeze. Good Airtel and Safaricom internet signal. Paid 1900 KES for 2 people.

There is a campground for around 6 cars/tents. It was pretty much full when we were there not leaving you much of privacy. Toilet and shower with running water. Access to a swimming pool and nice beach. It's possible to use fridges.
