Description

I’d rate this site a 6/10. We were in loop a(non generator). Sites were on top of each other w nothing in between, and the campgrounds weren’t anything special. But our site was on the river which was nice. As well as fairly close proximity to the heart of the park. 25 a night , flush bathrooms w electricity. Dump station to. Must book on recreation

Latest Check-Ins

Only one loop was open for our two night stay. The sites were super tight and you can only use the overflow lot if you buy a separate parking pass. A bit pricey at $30/night but the river provided some nice white noise for our slumber. Driving over Newfound Gap with the rig was fun, especially when the smokies live up to their name.

stayed 2 nights. reserve online before you get there, no internet or phone service at camp. this campground was nice. clean and maintained.

Report Check-In

Level campsites, clean . Good location. Quiet and near Cherokee and Bryson City

Report Check-In

Very nice campground. It was level, quiet, clean. The sound of rushing water lulls you to sleep. Good location to clingsman dome, Cherokee, and Bryson City.

Report Check-In

Typical NP campground with limited amenities. No Verizon signal. Too many trees for Starlink to be effective. Keep it clean, yours too enjoy. Trash and flush toilets. A few hiking trails out of the camp. Elk strolled through the camp which was fun. Reservations rec.gov $30

Report Check-In

Price is now $30. We found it to be very quiet. During the day it seems everyone is out hiking, fishing or you can rent horses. Real nice river to take your chair and your book to read beside.
Couple hikes that start in or near the campground. Very wide open camping with not much privacy.
Has sani dump with black rinse and potable water.

Report Check-In

Was dead when we showed up, maybe like 4-5 other campers. Bathrooms decent, only water seemed to be there, other faucets shut off for the winter I’m assuming. Being on the river was its best quality, stayed one very rainy night and left.$25, no cell reception, just ok I’d say.

Report Check-In

Great spot near river. $25. Nice bathrooms and running water. Dump station. Average Verizon service
