Beautiful view. Also, if you're going to drive this far up you should also see the whole canyon up to the Inyo Mine. Also the "eye of the needle" rock formation.
Report Check-InReally rad river road pull off in Death Valley. We went in about 2 miles. First mile is pretty rough terrain. Don’t think I’d recommend cars attempt. My ‘02 Safari RWD with 3” lift and all terrain tires handled it like a champ though. It’s late august so temps at night are around 90 degrees. But with windows cracked and fan running it wasn’t too hateful. Incredible sunrise and sunset views. Lots of cool rocks around- granite, quarts, marble etc. 10/10 recommend. Free
Report Check-InIt is marked as established camping, it is wrong and must be marked as wild camping
Report Check-InCamping allowed 1mi off pavement. The access was okay, mostly gravel and some rocks. 2WD can without issues, higher clearance is an added benefit.
I drove in my 4x4 about 2.2mi. didn't see anyone., but also sites weren't good for tent camping. So I left.
average site looks like one of the photos
