After/before bridge there is a little road down to the river. Suitable for 2WD in the beginning. Quiet and nice places to swim (and snorkel!) in the clean river. There were some other people bathing and barbecuing on a saturday. If you drive further in the bed of the river you can find also hidden places where you can camp out of sight of the road. (Therefore 4WD recommended)

very nice place for stay a couple days, you need 2WD hight clearance.
from puebla to oaxaca, the little gravel road on your left juste after the bridge.
Nice clearing by the river underneath some big mango trees. There's a host that backs onto the river here and we felt like we were in their backyard a little. We spoke to a couple of guys and they said it was fine to stay the night. They cautioned us about the strong current of the river and advised we take a dip in the small eddy in front of the house.
We had a peaceful night and were woken by the rooster in the morning.
Pleasant spot. Kinda buggy.
