Massive undercover check point when entering South Australia. No fruit or vegetables are permitted. When I passed through there were about 6 staff on duty checking inside cars.

The exact place is not on the state border, but a few km's towards SA. Only SA inbound traffic is checked. When you leave SA into Victoria you are free to take fruit and veggies with you.
