This is NOT BLM land (verified via Gaia and On X). It’s a mix of private property and Water Conservancy Land. Dispersed camping is not allowed on Water Conservancy land (nor on Private Property obviously). The Overlook itself is day use only. Do NOT camp here it’s definitely illegal and will get access shut down for everyone (including day use users). One of the land owners has been complaining and the area is heavily patrolled by the county sheriff. No camping signs are everywhere.

Love the spot. Great sunset views. Cell service. Little rough getting to a good level spot. There are private signs up across the road and public access signs up on the side overlooking the canyon.

Report Check-In

I can say for sure this area is not closed to camping. There are some look locations along the that are posted no camping, but there are dozens of dispersed sites.

Nice location just off the highway but no road noise. Large flat areas prior to the private property clearly marked as public land. Road is a bit bumpy but easy 2wd.

Report Check-In

To clarify the closure, “no camping” signs are posted near the power lines. There are still sites along the road closer to the highway that are on public land.

Report Check-In

To clarify the closure, “no camping” signs are posted near the powerlines. Before the signs, closer to the highway there are still sites on public land.

This is a back up spot I keep in mind when coming to this area, some of the pull offs/campsites are beautiful, but getting there is rough and it has quite a bit of light pollution. The end of the road has an overlook as promised, it’s mostly of the city, there is typically trash scattered about.

If you venture on one of the side paths a good spot or two for a RTT/van or small trailer can be found. Be aware of what lane is private/public.

Fantastic views, quiet and great cell service. This was one of the best spots I’ve camped.

Report Check-In

This is a Boondocking site down a pretty rough road. It has a great view but it’s likely accessible by rigs approximately 25 feet or smaller. The cell signal is good because you’re overlooking the city of La Verkin and one direction and city of virgin in the other direction.
