Description

Camping and Chalets on the outskirts of Springbok. The actual campsite is ok. The kitchen and bathrooms are a bit tired. It is R250 a site. The big benefit is that we got to use the pool, Wifi, and sit on the grass at the Springbok Hotel next door.

A small Campsite near a hotel where the reception is.. on the campsite are also a lot of chalets.. we had no luck and there were a lot of people singing and shouting the whole night.. could not sleep until 4 o clock.. the ablutions are basic and not really clean.

Camping on sand with a hill incline. Ablutions okay. Own braii. No wash up area. Wifi available at camp. Able to use hotel pool and restaurant. Was nice to be on the outskirts of town.

We where very disappointed by this place. Checked in and paid for two nights as we planned to do some paper work. The campsite is not well maintained, hardly any shade, no level site, rubbish lying around, in the ablution of the ladies only one toilet worked of three and the floor was flooded. At night there was a big party at the hotel terrasse with very loud music until 4am in the morning (nobody told us during check in). We decided to leave the next day, informed them why (still trying to get our ZAR 250 back for the second night). We would not stay here again. PS. WiFi connection is good

We stayed for two days - it’s a nice enough site, we were the only ones there’s so had the pick of sites - there’s a few shady patches under trees. Wifi works in some sites better than others but is mostly pretty good. As everyone said the hotel next door is a big international style hotel with a great restaurant and a lobby where you can sit and use faster wifi if need-be. They also do laundry - just ask at the front desk. We left our tent and pannier bags at the campsite when we went into Springbok - no concerns about safety here. 250 rand for two of us in a tent.

Campsite pretty basic with ablution not spotless but fair. What made it very nice to stay here is that when staying on the campground, you can use all facilities from the hotel next door. Free wifi, restaurant, nice toilets. The restaurant serves a breakfast buffet and an a la carte lunch/dinner. Ray the owner was very friendly and offered us a coffee on the house because of the Dutch winning the first football match of the world cup. Had a lovely chat with him and all other staff was very friendly and accommodating. Springbok itself is quite small but a good place to stock up before crossing the border to Namibia. We paid 250ND per night per campsite.

We stayed one night on the way to Namibia. Nice place, hot shower, some trees. In the night still cold.

Small campground with small not leveled sites. Clean restrooms and hot shower, electricity and brai at each site. Electricity was switched off between 8.30 pm and 7.30 am. 80% occupation. Mostly quiet despite few privacy. 4G MTN Signal. OK campsite during wildflower season but you can find nicer campgrounds on the farms around Springbok and wildcamping options e.g. along Wildeperdehoekspass.

250 per site
Really close to the city, the people at the reception were really nice and ablution were ok!
less expensive than caravan park and WiFi on the site
worth it !

In addition we stayed here four nights (on our way to Namaqualand and for the PCR Test in Springbok).
Nice campsites. Bathrooms are ok but a few showers are damaged. Kitchen is usable to clean the dishes, but very dirty.
WiFi is ok but does not work reliable. (Namastat PW: [Passwords are not allowed])
The check in is at the reception of the hotel. The gate to the campground is open all the time despite this we felt save here.
All in all it’s a average place.
