Costa Rica
Big parking lot behind the visitors center for tour buses to park. Views of the volcano if the clouds allow! It was $17 which included access to the trails for two days and parking for the night. The showers are minimal but they exist. There is good WiFi up at the observatory platform or at the visitor center. Also there is a small cafe at the viewing platform which is nice to grab a coffee and view the mountain before your hike.

Nous avons demandé à la réception si nous pouvions dormir sur leur parking sachant que nous avions réserver l’entrée dans leur parc pour le lendemain … impossible ! Le camping est désormais interdit !
Wifi accessible si l’on fait la randonnée !
We arrived around 5pm. We told the reception guy that we wanted to visit the park the next morning and asked if it was okay to stay the night. Everything was fine and we were allowed to use the restrooms and showers. There was security during the night and no traffic.
Report Check-InWe slept in our motorhome at the very end of the bus parking, right hand side, no bushes or trees, looking at the volcano directly out of our beds. Quiet night. No tents allowed.
