Morocco
The place is closed. It is a campsite owned by the Moroccan state and they rent it out to someone to operate it. It will take time until a new manager will be found. According to the locals, at the moment, it is even unclear that they will ever find one again. Therefore I suggest to mark it as permanently closed.
Why? By checking in after you’ve visited a place you let others know this place is still functional. You can also add or correct any information.
In contrast to what we heard the day before, we were told that they are currently looking for a new manager/buyer of the campsite. This means that it could take some time until they reopen.
Report Check-InI was there (see comments) and talked to the locals. The place is closed. It is a campsite owned by the Moroccan state and they rent it out to someone to operate it. Report Check-InThe camping is still closed. But not permanently. At "Vila Bea" they told us that the camping is being renovated to be prepared for the summer season of 2022.
Report Check-InAs mention bellow this is a nice location but looks rundown. Bathrooms are in bad condition, There are scattered plugs for power. Its location and its proximity to Tangier though make it a good one night stop over either way.
Report Check-In80 mad 2 persons, bicycles and tent. We didn't try the restaurant nor the hot showers. Place is big and wild and calm. Friendly staff. In the evening came to boys around to sell strawberries
Report Check-In Very big site so it's possible to park well away from the, mostly French, motorhomes that like to be near the toilets and showers.
Downside is that there are more biting insects!
Cost is 80Dh/night, inc electric but there are no electric points in the more remote parts of the site. No discount for long stays. Washing machines available at 30Dh per load. Hot water in the showers is unreliable.
Busier than last year and the restaurant is open! Forgot about the thousands of cats though. Keep clear of them unless you like fleas. Otherwise great spot on the edge of the lagoon
Report Check-InRustic campsite on edge of lagoon. Wc and hot showers, restaurant/takeaway on site, EHU, emptying, can walk to village centre, vendors sell fresh fish at gate of camp and you can take a boat trip on the lagoon if desired. Warning there are a lot of Mosquitos and other biters due to the proximity of the lagoon. We paid 90 which includes .EHU whether you want it or not. B
