To get here, turn south-west along shore from south end of dam El Chocon. After approx 1.5km (at S39.29381 W068.75410) take the right fork heading south down the peninsula. After approx 2km (at S39.30800 W068.75832) you'll see a long dead-straight track off to your left. Follow that track to the end overlooking the lake. Track is a bit rough in places, probably best for high clearance 4x4. No facilities. Free.
exposed to the wind
Absolutely amazing spot on low cliffs overlooking the lake and wonderful views of pink stone-cliff pinnacles rising out of the water. Definitely one of the best wildcamp spots we have ever found. This is a great area to explore and there are probably several other good spots around the area to camp, but we loved it here; gorgeous sunsets. Wander along the clifftop and you will soon find paths down to small secluded beaches.

Stunning! Followed the track down but then turned left and we followed the track down to the waterfront (approximately 2 km).
Spent three days, ate fish, enjoyed the view and the water.
beautiful place to camp, it's a hard track to reach it. You can stay a couple of nights without any other one close to tent. I recommend this spot.
Report Check-InReally really beautiful and serene spot. There is wind cover only on one side. There may be some people who came to see the view but everyone leaves before sunset. Uploading some photos of the roughest spots to see the condition of the road.
Report Check-InAmazing spot. The view is gorgeous. We didn't experience the wind but the road requires a high clearance vehicle, not necessarily 4x4. We had no trouble navigating there and spent a very enjoyable afternoon and restful night.
Report Check-InWow, wow, wow! Perfect place. Yes, exposed to the wind, but we were so lucky to have zero wind today! Views are amazing, and extremely quiet. Magical place. With the current road condition you definitely need 4wd. Everything is dry, but the road is badly damaged. Still, if you have 4wd, 100 % worth the detour (if there's not too much wind). You'll find the place very well using maps.me
Report Check-InTotally exposed to the wind. Ground is very rocky. Not appropriate for camping with tent. View is OK
Report Check-InThe distance from the dam is 6.3 km. Follow the main track at the beginning (there is even a road sign "Los Gigantes"). When this track goes steep up the hill, there is a bifurcación after 2.2 km, take the left track and follow for about 4 km a bumby track (People from the Region do it with normal car).
It's a romantic place you share with fishermen on Weekends.
There are many spots at the coast.
