Namibia
7 km east of Katima Mulilo on the river Zambezi. Nice campsite with paved areas and green grass around. Sites have braai, power and non-potable water connections and some have views of the Zambezi river. Nice showers and a place to do cooking and wash dishes. Swimming pool. Cost N$180 pppn.

Everything is like said below. Only internet speed is low and only at reception.
Report Check-Inperfect place to stay after crossing the border in order to get organised with cash, food and SIM cards in Katima. Beautiful gardens, so many amazing birds, flat pitches with water tap, electricity and bbq. Large, clean shower block, hot water and separate laundry room. very friendly owners and cute camp dogs!! 180 Namibian $ pppn
Report Check-InLovely secure campsites overlooking the river. Grass, big trees and cement slabs. Great facilities. Wi-fi at reception. Friendly, helpful owners.
Report Check-InNice campsite along the river. Leveled spots on stone or you can pitch your groundtent on leveled grass. Clean ablutions with hot water showers. WiFi at reception didn’t really work for us. N$180pppn.
Report Check-InWarm welcome, beautiful campsites on the river. Abulutions are clean.
Report Check-Inriverview from thecampsite, free and fast wifi at the reception, hot and clean showers, friendly staff. electricity, water tap, bin, brai, light at every pitch. scullery. no drinkable water. big pool but unfortunately green because of a pump problem :-(
we stayed 2 nights and we liked it : 4/5.
180 rands per people per night, only cash.
As previously described. Spectacularly well kept gardens and paved pitches with power and braai stands. Extremely friendly host and fabulous dogs (Bones & Butch).
N$180 pppn for camping. Well worth a return visit.
Report Check-InNice campground at the Zambesi riverbank. The owner is very friendly. The campsites are surrounded by a wonderful garden with a lot of lemon trees. We were allowed to take as many lemons as we needed.
It is very close to the Sambian border, best place for those as us, who have to renew their carnet.
As described previously, we paid 180N$pppn and are the only campers tonight. Nice place, so far this evening, very quiet
Report Check-InAs described. Nice well kept and maintained campsite. We paid N$180pppn.
Report Check-InN$180 pppn. Nice garden, pool and campsite on the river but many mosquitoes.
Report Check-InParklike grounds with lots of shade and a nice clean pool. No restaurant or bar. Good for a stop before or after the border.
Report Check-InOutstanding and one of the best campsites at a affordable rate that we stayed at. N$150 pppn
The campsites are on the edge of the riverbank. Lovely!
Lovely open and spacious campground on the banks of the Zambezi. For the bird enthusiast you can literary only sit at your campsite and watch unique species such as schallow’s turaco, African golden oriole, trumpeter hornbill, etc.
Report Check-InGreat spot. The singing you hear next door (not the all night music) comes from the kids at the orphanage.
I walked over to see what it was and found 53 kids and a number of staff all working togther. They ended up inviting us to church (I go about every 5 years) and we decided to make a donation to their organization. (we didnt ask to be invited to church and they didnt ask for a donation). I had made a seperate post, but iOver... deleted it because it's not a tourist attraction 😹
What a wonderful campsite!!! Gorgeous spots on the Zambezi, super peaceful, nice ablutions. We loved the host, Jakku (?) what a nice man, very welcoming. He has 2 sweet dogs, one of which a puppy who was adorable, who often came for hugs. Multiple spots on the river, and many off the river, but there were only 1-2 other couples while we are there. Too bad that there was music coming from the neighbors, for most of the day and evening into the night (we used earplugs at night).
Nice pool!!
Report Check-InThis is a great place on the Zambezi. The hosts are helpful. very neat and spacious. We stayed longer than planned
Report Check-InThis is a gem. Well priced and the host are friendly we stayed longer as planned. The reason of being on the Zambezi river
Report Check-InHuge campsite all under shady trees on the banks of the Zambezi.
Each have elektricity and non pottable water. Communial ablutions. Very neat.
N$150 pppn camping.
Report Check-InBig campsite at the shores of the Zambezi. Big, clean ablutions with good hot showers. Only about 4 campsites are actually at the rivershore, but they are nice. N$150/pppn, so very reasonable. Faint noise from a nearby village in the evening, but not bad. Friendly owner. Very nice stopover for one (or two) night. Conveniently also near town, so easy to go to the supermarkets for stocking food, etc.
Report Check-In150NAD pppn. The restaurant and bar are not currently open, but it is the low season post COVID (only 3 vehicles on the campsite).
Report Check-InArrived late and left early. Staff and manager were welcoming and we had everything we needed for a quick stopover. Lots of recent rains and it seems like all the local mosquitoes took shelter in the ablution block, so beware! Everything else has been said. Nice site if you need to be near Katimo Mulilo, and still a reasonable price of NAD150 pppn.
Report Check-InWell maintained, cleaned and groomed. They welcome “walk-ins” since there are plenty paved campsites to choose from with numerous ones directly on the riverbank with great sunset views. All amenities are as per previous posts. Huge ablution block with plenty showers.
We had the privilege of witnessing African Wood Owl chicks taking (probably) first flight! Birdlife is always magical along this strip of the Zambezi.
Our total bill for the night was N$475 for 2 adults and 2x kids (10 and 13yrs). Very affordable in my opinion.
Report Check-InImmaculately clean, shady campsites right on the rivers edge. Swimming pool. N$150pppn, kids 5 & under free, half price 6-12 years. Conveniently close to Katima especially if waiting for Covid tests.
Report Check-InWell run campsite. Several sites on the banks of the river. Power at sites...and water.
Bar and restaurant. Clean and large ablutions. Friendly helpful staff.
Recommended.
Very nice and neat place at the Zambesi River, loosely subdivided camping lots in the shade, water taps (good water!), braai sites, tables, very complete ablutions block. Quiet at night, otters in the river in the morning. Bar with drinks and option to eat. Laundry service available (95 N$). 200 N$ or Rand ppn.
Report Check-InNice place in strong contrast to other campsites in Chobe region of Botswana. No animals here. It's more an place to relax after a long 4x4 trip.
Report Check-InAcceptable, if soulless, campsite. Clean. Some grass. 200N$. Ok for one night. Accessible via. a 3km sandy track that is a little challenging by bicycle.
Report Check-Ini think it is still one of the nicest places around KTM. Laundry service
You may hire a boat to go fishing on the Zambezi
German speaking Namibian owner.
200NAD pn.
very nice place. good restaurant
very clean and well maintained. beautiful view to Zambezi
Beautiful riverside campsite on grass with restaurant, bar, and large swimming pool. Recommended *****
Report Check-InSee the below descriptions. The camping spots along the river are nice.
They also have some Chalets and a Restaurant.
Ablutions are clean but somehow old school, a facelift would be nice after the price for camping did raise.
It was not so busy at this place, what made the stay calm and comfortable.
I also paid NAM 200 $ for camping.
Used the laundry service which was good but pricy, 80 $ per (small) bag.
3 G Signal with MTC.
Wifi at the Bar Area. Swimmingpool.
Report Check-InPrice is 200nad ppn, very expensive. But it‘s still a good place to be: we were the only campers, good showers, all the facilities are very clean (just the pool has a lot of leaves in it).
Report Check-InStunning campsite, friendly hostess N$150 per person. Zambezi views clean ablution. Dog friendly.
Report Check-InNot very cheap (150n$ pn) but worth it. Nice setting on the river, excellent ablutions (clean and well maintained), friendly staff, and most if not all pitches have all facilities except for shelters. Electricity, light, braai (firewood 40n$ per bag), standpipe, table and bench, etc. Paved pitches for cars, grass for tents. Pitches are playfully arranged, which is a bit confusing but also adds to the character of the place. Showers are hot and the best I've had in a long time. Quiet at night, yet still within a few km from town. Wifi available only in reception/bar/swimming pool area. Apparently no restaurant (they added 'self catering ' to their name) but they do have a bar.
Report Check-InStill 125 per person per night. Pitches are nice, some by the river. Quite busy! They sell meat packs, ice and fire wood.
Report Check-In7 km east of Katima Mulilo on the river Zambezi. Nice campsite with paved areas and green grass around. Sites have braai, power and non potable water connections and soms have view on the Zambezi river. Nice showers and a place to do cooking and wash dishes. Swimming pool. Cost N$125 including car.
