Latest Check-Ins

Spent last night here, a very nice campground with exceptional restrooms. Just wish showers were available. We usually boondock, but this seemed like the best choice in the area. Verizon roaming was OK, but slow data.

Report Check-In

Description are ok. Really quiet, first come first serve. Clean. Didn’t ear the dog. $20 cash only.

Report Check-In

Great camp, well maintained, but the dogs barking incessantly all night from all directions was very annoying. Sometimes it was totally quiet and other times there were a group of dogs yapping for 10min straight. All night.

Report Check-In

This spot was clean. Clean bathrooms. But holy res dogs! Howling, barking and fighting all night, all day. On one of the lookouts, we found a puppy discarded in the snow bank. I did not feel safe with all the dogs around.

Report Check-In

5 USD for dumpstation and potable water if you are not a guest at the campground

Beautiful big trees.

FCFS, nice variety of sizes of paved sites. $20 cash per night. Loops 1&2 were open. Clean bathrooms, no showers. Water and dump station. Half day to visit all the viewpoints. Hiking closed except with a guide. Zero Verizon, zero TMobile, good AT&T. Quiet, get here before 3 to have your choice of spots.

Report Check-In

Nice NPS campground. Clean bathrooms. No showers. Stayed on a Wednesday night in April. Only 2 of the three loops open but still plenty of vacancies. First come, first served. $20.

No electric hook ups that I know of but there is a dump station and water.

Report Check-In

Nice place, as described above $20.00 for the night. Paved level sites.

Report Check-In

Although not fully open as they are trimming trees, there was room for all takers. Water is off at the moment. It’s been freezing here. It’s expected to be turned back on “Spring of 2023”.

Report Check-In

I spent three nights here, it wasn't very busy Friday, the attendant told me Thursday there were six overnight people. my last night here Sunday there are 15 and loop 1 is almost full. they do not have loops two and three open yet. everything else was great, a basic flush bathroom. no showers no water spigots, and I believe the dump station is closed currently. lots of goat heads in the grass walking over to the restrooms. cell signal was H+, (HAPA)
ookla speed test gave me 7.3 down and 1.6 up.

Report Check-In

seems clean and secure but not a "can't miss"

Report Check-In

Very quiet campground, only about four campers there mid-week. The staff were very nice. The bathrooms were clean and the Park is well kept. Some trees but for thoughs of us who are using Starlink a clear view of the sky is helpful.

Report Check-In

Quiet and clean campground inside the monument. $20 cash only.

Report Check-In

I was quiet in September, plenty of shade but wide open and no privacy. A small space with lots of sites so relatively close together. Bathrooms were clean, no showers.

Report Check-In

Arrived on Memorial Day Monday in the early afternoon. Place was nearly deserted. No attendant at the gatehouse. $20 per night, deposit box is (oddly) on the exit side of the gatehouse.

Plenty of available spots, all level and paved. Picnic tables and elevated grills. Sign says alcoholic beverages are prohibited as are ground fires.

Flush toilets were relatively clean.

Report Check-In

I campground is just OK. The price is now $20. There are only a few water spigots scattered here and there. Nothing remarkable about this campground. However, the canyon is beautiful

Report Check-In

Dump station still open but water is shut off for the winter season. There is one water spigot where you can fill your jugs but not your RV tank. $14, cash only!
Ok cell reception.

Report Check-In

It's open, still $14 a night. Restrooms work. People trickled in as the evening went on but there were still plenty of spots. I could see this place getting crowded in the summer. Folks at the welcome center very friendly.

Report Check-In

Nice campground by the Thunderbird Lodge. Dumping and water. $14 for a site. We stayed at the lodge as we weren’t traveling with an RV. Quiet. This canyon is well worth the visit. It has a north and south rim drive with many beautiful lookouts. There is another campground in the south rim road.

Report Check-In

Classic NPS campground. $14/night, self registration.
Clean toilets. Electricity in the washrooms.
Water was on, but ground not ready for the warm season. The grass hadn’t been cut, so picnic tables and bbq grills were not accessible.

Max 7 people per site, but not enough space for 2 vehicles on one site.
