Last Brazilian checkpoint before Bolivia, they just wanted to see passports with exit stamps and the canceled tip.

Report Check-In

Not as bad as we expected! Friendly staff, let us keep stuff in the fridge that was sealed (including cheese) but took most (not all) of the opened packets. Hard to work out exactly what the rules are here, but all the food taken was itemised on a signed form, then destroyed in front of us.

Report Check-In

The staff seemed to make a point of *pretending* not to understand Spanish or English, however, when it served them later, they *did* understand and even speak some (they got curious about the make our truck and the only way to find out was to ask ...). They only took food from us that had not been processed industrially and even left some food where the packaging was already open. Maybe this was because they had to list every confiscated item in a form that we eventually had to sign.
