Parking in front of the municipality building. You can find some shelter from the wind. Toilets open during the day. Very chill and calm until the trucks start boarding the ferry in the morning. A few cute cats playing around :)

Pernoite tranquilo ao abrigo do vento. Grande espaço e plano. banheiros funcionam até as 21h.

Didn’t use any facilities, only stopped on the parking lot around 10:30 pm and took off early in the morning. Quiet, but windy night, welcome to Tierra del Fuego :))

No problem to sleep infront of the building if its late and you want to catch the ferry the next day

banheiros limpos e aquecidos
mas nao tem lugar pra tomar banho

------------

clean and heated bathrooms
but there is no place to take a shower

You can camp in a tent in the back of the building- hidden from the road at a cost of more noise from the wind turbine. A 2p, maybe compact 3p tent fits under the water tank scaffolding, so you get some rain cover as well.

Report Check-In

Came with the last ferry, it was dark already, we pulled over and stayed at the empty parking lot. No one there to ask. In the morning we saw “Complejo municipal”. Surprisingly quiet night.

Super clean bathrooms and showers. Alexei, the caretaker, is very welcoming and can provide water upon request. We were directed to camp right in front of the building, where we were protected from the wind. Give his dogs Fidel and Luna a cuddle and a hug. They are awesome. Good cell signal.

Report Check-In

We wanted to set up for staying overnight when two very friendly officers came to tell us, there is an other free camping spot just 20km further (Cerro sombrero, it’s also on iOverlander and free!). There are hot showers, Wifi and even electricity to charge phones etc.! And you will not have the noise from the trucks...
You can still stay here at this place but they have no showers.

Report Check-In

We spend a night there with 3 tents just in a front of the building.
toilet / hot shower / electricity / wifi (not working all the time)

Men’s shower is repaired :)
Shower still free, you can either shower really, really hot or not at all... but nice after a few days without showering.

Report Check-In

Still free hot showers. I did break the men's one. It was all worn out and about to break. Suddenly I had the tap in my hand, water still running. They had to shut down the water for the entire bathroom, akward situation. Hope they fix it soon. Lo siento

Report Check-In

Good place for a night. you can use the toilets until 9pm.

Report Check-In
