No shade but clean. Cornhole, bocce court, horseshoe pit available. 6 Spigots for water around the campsite.

Beautiful campsite, lots of flowers and sweet smells in April! Really well maintained with friendly staff - one of the most respectful, progressive parks I’ve ever seen! However, the bike paths were overgrown and you couldn’t get to the beach - there is constant helicopter activity during the day due to the proximity to the border wall, I assume? The showers were eventually warm, but they shut off every 30 seconds (environmental reasons maybe?) and there was a lot of shampoo in the eyes, scrambling for buttons or tokens…
Regardless, we would stay again - very pretty and clean.

This was my second time staying here… and this place is a little gem. It’s very clean, quiet and safe. Yes, there are helicopters, but they didn’t bother me. The staff is also great and friendly. Such a great option if you’re visiting the area!

5 nights here with a 25' travel trailer. Really quiet camping, but there is a lot of helicopter goung on during the day, but quiet at night. Nice and clean restrooms and showers with hot water ($0.25/ 4 minutes). Enough spaces between each other. $24/night. Good spot if you want to visit San Diego. Must be self container. water available in 2 or 3 places on the site. No dump station.

Nice clean campground. Also horse stalls available at campground. Just stopped in to check out on way across border. Boondocked about 2 miles away last night as it was late when crossed into US from Mexico. San Diego campgrounds all seen to have great facilities like washrooms and showers. Open field like but somewhere to camp close to border.

Report Check-In

Ok place to camp before or after the boarder.
Calm at night but in the day time helicopter fly a lot. A guy had his generator on all evening, made us change our site. Shower where clean. And over all a nice place but we chose to move to another place for the rest of our stay.

Report Check-In

This is a great spot in San Diego. We stayed two weeks in the area and I would come back here first next time. Level spots, decent showers and rangers were chill folks. It’s about a three mile hike to the border wall at the beach which I highly recommend but note that you can’t walk all the way to the beach wall (big mistake, can’t talk about it…). Will spend a week here next time!

Great place to stay near San Diego. Checked in same day, no reservation required ahead of time, however it was not busy when we went. During busy season, would recommend booking ahead online per the park rep. $24 USD per night for non-hookup sites only. Can rent yurts for $60-$90 USD. Sites available to accommodate horses, trails close by. Must use firewood provided by park - $5/bundle. Very clean private bathroom and showers. 25 cents per token for 4 minute shower. (Have to push button every 30 sec to keep water flowing.) Overall a quiet place, no traffic noise. Would highly recommend if not wanting to stay right in San Diego.

We arrived late and left in the morning when we heard the beach nearby is not proper for swimming. Other than that it was pretty good.

This is a brand new campground, and it is beautiful, there’s a playground for kids, showers and bathrooms. However there is no electricity so be prepared to have a battery or solar power. There’s horse riding and trails available here as well!

Literally on the boarder. Brand new facility and it is gorgeous. Token showers, yurts, tent and rv sites. Tons of trails for walking and mnt biking. This place is way better than I imagined. Down side is lack of trees to camp under. Only firewood from the ranger station can be burned at this campground due to pest control.
