ADMIN NOTE: Clearly not the right gps coordinates. Takes you to a Trader Joe's parking lot in Phoenix, not the Sonoran Desert National Monument.
Parking area off Hwy 238/west Maricopa Rd. we did not stay the night, but lovely hike on wide trail with the pups. Did not say no overnight camping and clearly some had evident by the fire ring. 3 bars Verizon. Road was not super busy.

Report Check-Inif you do a Google search you will see that this marked location is not anywhere near the monument.
Report Check-Inthese coordinates are NOT to a "desert monument" but instead to a strip mall parking lot, near a Safeway. it seems quiet and secure enough, but I have just arrived (0153 hours), so we shall see if I get rousted by the police before the night is over.
EDIT: was not bothered overnight, stayed until 0820 hours.
